Northrop Grumman Manufacturing Engineer II in Clearfield, Utah

Northrop Grummanis currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Clearfield,UT location.
Support manufacturing of rocket motors for launch vehicles and defense applications. Work closely with manufacturing personnel to solve production issues in rubber insulation, composite hand layup, filament winding, cure, NDI, and assembly processes. Learn and understand requirements to determine product impacts and recommend disposition of the parts. Work in a cross functional team to develop and implement process improvements.

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related and 2 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience or equivalent experience
Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirements
Composites hand layup, filament winding, bonding, and cure experience
Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Working knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience authoring, modifying and auditing procedures.
Experience estimating, planning, and streamlining manufacturing processes
Understanding of Catia V5 and/or NX
Experience using SPC to monitor and improve processes
