Northrop Grumman NGIS is currently looking for a Project Engineer (T01) to work in our Clearfield, UT (3-6-9 Month Hourly Project Rate only) in Clearfield, Utah

NGIS is currently looking for a Project Engineer ( T01) to work in our Clearfield, UT location . This is a project position. Estimated length of this project is six months.

Job description:

Support cost improvement and waste reduction projects in a high rate automated composite part production facility. Work closely with manufacturing personnel to identify issues, and develop and implement solutions. Learn and understand requirements to determine product impacts. Work in a cross functional team to develop and implement process improvements.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with composite materials preferred

  • Knowledge with lean principles such as the Toyota Production System

  • Knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques

  • Experience authoring, modifying and auditing procedures.

  • Experience estimating, planning, and streamlining manufacturing processes

  • Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirements preferred

  • Experience using SPC to monitor and improve processes

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Science

  • Experience; 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal direction in a changing environment.

  • Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Technical problem-solving skills, strong oral, and written communications skills

  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
