Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman is currently recruiting for a Receiving Inspector to provide support to our Quality team in our Clearfield, UT location.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Independently review supplier paperwork, verifying material pass/fail criteria against Engineering inspection requirements

  • Visual inspection and basic dimensional measurements of incoming materials

  • Reading chart records to determine material shelf life and expiration dates

  • Counting and tagging of boxes and individual parts

  • Computer processing and status of material acceptance within the material management system

  • Filing acceptance paperwork for record retention

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have 4 years of inspection experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment

  • Active Secret Security Clearance required

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. during inspections

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures

  • Must be able to use standard measuring inspection tools/equipment

  • Ability to work in hot and below zero conditions

  • Must be able to work flexible and changing shift schedules

  • Must be able to work weekends

  • Air travel for source inspection may be up to 10% depending on Company need

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required (education will be verified)

Preferred Experience:

  • Aerospace quality experience preferred
