Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Mission Assurance to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.

Essential Functions:

  • Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.

  • Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.

  • Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

  • Internal/External Program Audits, Monthly Program reviews, monitoring Internal/External Nonconforming material escapes, Program meetings, GEMBA Walk, Identify risks and opportunities, Program Improvement opportunities, Increase DLY by 10%, Suppler Corrective Active Board (SCAB) Reviews.

  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

  • Determine PPAP levels for suppliers per AS9145, Zero Defect Plan (ZDP), and Supplier Auditing program per AS9100, Supplier AS9145 certification program and monitoring controls, define and flow down Customer (Contract Quality Codes), AS9145 Certification for Internal Supplier Quality Engineers.

  • Supplier Interaction, MRB Program approval, Charging budgets, Program Supplier Quality Metrics, Internal/External Program Audits, Monthly Program reviews, monitoring Internal/External Nonconforming material escapes, Program meetings, GEMBA Walk, Identify risks and opportunities, Program Improvement opportunities, Increase DLY by 10%, Suppler Corrective Active Board (SCAB) Reviews.

  • Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 9 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or project management experience; OR a Master's Degree in STEM with 7 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or project management experience OR PhD in STEM with 4 or more years of experience.

  • Experience with implementing and maintains of databases i.e. TipQA, Costpoint integration, Supplier Scorecard.

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

  • Must have active DoD Secret Clearance investigation within scope.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of demonstrated experience leading project teams

  • Strong expertise using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
