Control4 Corporation Manufacturing Test Engineer in Draper, Utah

Position Description

The Manufacturing Test Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Test Engineer Director and will be responsible developing and leveraging technical skills to work with a broad range of SnapAV’s award-winning home automation and entertainment products. You’ll be working with other SnapAV team members and with manufacturing partners worldwide to develop testing strategies and design, build, deploy and support cutting-edge testing solutions across our portfolio of fun and innovative products. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that is goal oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate on product development teams to understand the products’ technology and design, and contribute a testing perspective to the development of products

  • Coordinate test development and schedules with design teams during product development and into production

  • Contribute to product design reviews to ensure adherence to DFT best practices

  • Implement test plans and specifications to ensure product compliance and acceptance during manufacturing

  • Design and create test system software, hardware, and fixtures

  • Participate in the construction of test systems and their deployment at manufacturing and testing sites

  • Analyze and improve test implementations to improve test reliability and reduce test times and cost

  • Create, update, review, and ensure consistency of documentation for test systems and processes

  • Perform the validation of test software and hardware to ensure reliability and consistency of test methods and equipment

  • Provide technical support, expertise and input to peers and technicians, including at overseas design and manufacturing partners

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical degree

  • 2+ Years of relevant engineering experience

  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the consumer electronic industry

  • Experience with software development, including NI Labview and TestStand programming

  • Familiarity with mechanical design and CAD, including fixturing concepts.
