Qualifications Education-Training (both required and desired): Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical, Material, Software, or Manufacturing Engineering) Master's Degree preferred Experience: 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area (10 years with MS degree). At least 6 years progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership. Security: Must be a US citizen Active Secret security clearance required (granted within the last 5 years) Expertise and Functions Position supports the Air Force Nuclear Warfare Center's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent Program Office Provide superior level engineering services and technical leadership of Industrial Engineering Responsible for performing design assessments of impact of RadHard parts requirements to overall program cost-schedule-performance risks, including any long-lead manufacturing requirements perform assessments of contractor designs for near-to-long-term DMSMS risks due to design choices including TRL, MRL, re-use, and cost-vs-capability trades perform assessments of contractor-proposed Supply Chain sources, risk management plan, security, counterfeit parts mitigation-prevention Author program Parts Management Plan (PMP) and related supporting documents to be compatible and compliant with DoD and Air Force guidance; perform assessments of contractor-generated PMPs for similar characteristics Perform technical analysis for subsystem components and-or software, component validation-verification, risk analyses and assessments of component supportability and design effectives in the context of subsystem or other derived requirements Perform analyses for one or more subsystem components to include design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Duties may include conducting trade studies, preparing program documents, and performing assessments as required, analyzing and capturing results, assessing readiness for production, refining logistics support plans, supporting design and evaluation of design producibility and serviceability, analyzing manufacturing process and equipment, and evaluating producibility, engineering and production planning.
