SAIC Systems Engineer in HILL AFB, Utah
SAIC is seeking an exceptional individual to support the Air Force's next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, north of Salt Lake City, Utah. This will be a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to remain operational until 2075. This is a massive development effort with many opportunities. We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD with a great company. This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing expert technical advice and support to GBSDProduct Support Division and Product Support Manager leadership onReliability Centered Maintenance;
Conducting RAM analyses;
Providing support to programmatic and technical briefings,reports and other related documentation. This team member willregularly integrate, coordinate and engage with the customer and fellowIntegration Support Contract RAM and Weapon System Effectivenessteammates.
Performs technical planning, system integration,verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost, risk,supportability and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed atall levels of total system product to include concept, design,fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion ofproduct requirements into total systems solutions.
Translates customer requirements into hardware/softwarespecifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with five (5) years ormore experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0years related experience.
Experience with reliability, availability andmaintainability on a large system
Active SECRET Clearance
Experience with requirements development, analysis andmanagement
Experience supporting DoD programs
Experience with DoD 5000.01 acquisition
Previous ICBM experience
