What will you do?

We are searching for an Application Engineer focused in large scale drug manufacturing equipment and consumables in Biopharmaceutical market that will reside in the sales operation department. This individual will work with a dynamic group of engineers, project managers, sourcing, and quality engineers. Responsibilities are understanding of product lines, Biologic intended us of product, and providing technical responses to customers, and field base teams. In addition this individual will work with various team members on incoming bid requests from the customer and will be directly responsible to review the user requirement specifications (URS) and will provide a direct formal response to the URS that will be incorporated in the bid package sent to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of customer user requirement specifications (URS), and provide formal response to any clarification and or exceptions to the bid package.

  • Review customers complete bid package to meet critical deadlines in bidding process.

  • Complete bid technical response in full, work with internal team to formalize a quote and communicate to sales team on content.

  • Maintain project tracker and follow up on active sales projects.

  • Communication to the customer on bid content and product exceptions.

  • Organize calls with commercial and technical field based team on customer specifications.

  • Communicate with mechanical/automation engineers on product design.

  • Understand standard product offering and boundaries to effectively communicate designs.

  • Work in ERP system to enter complex equipment bill of material.

How will you get there?

Education:

  • BS degree in Science related fields or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years technical experience of largescale bioprocessing equipment specific to single use Bioreactors, Mixers, downstream equipment, and control systems.

  • Understanding of P&ID and PFD flow diagrams for bioproduction workflows.

  • Works well in a fast pace environment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate status effectively.

  • Efficient in all Microsoft programs.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of complete workflow of upstream and downstream applications in biopharmaceutical market.

  • High level knowledge of integrated control systems and network architectural designs integrated with Bioreactors and Mixers i.e Delta V and Rockwell automation.
