EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Orem Development Services Department is currently hiring for an Engineer. This will be either an Associate Engineer or a Staff Engineer position, depending on qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. This will be a full-time, benefited position working under direction of the City Engineer/Engineering Section Manager, and is responsible for planning, designing and preparing construction plans and specifications in accordance with civil engineering principles and practices. The position may also be responsible for public coordination and communication of projects, maintenance of bonds and liens, and recordings of public records. SALARY The current salary range for Associate Engineers is $22.38 to $33.57 ($46,560 to $69,839 annually); the salary range for Staff Engineers is $26.76 to $40.14 hourly ($55,673 to $83,510 annually). QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field. For Associate Engineer: - Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) certificate and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license. - 1 year project design experience. For Staff Engineer: -Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license. - 4 years relevant experience. ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT The Orem Development Services Department includes Planning and Zoning, Engineering, Building Safety, and Facilities Maintenance.
