Warburg's thesis is to continue to support Wencor's growth through organic investments in people, product, and technology, as well as through tuck-in acquisitions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFlexible part or full-time schedule to work around school demands.Work closely with Engineers and other Metrology personnel to support the reverse engineering of commercial aircraft parts.Use precision hand tools, such as an Optical Comparator, Micrometer, Height Gage, etc. to provide consistently accurate inspection of components and assemblies.Manipulate 3D CAD models using Solidworks and other design software for data collection and analysis purposes.Assists in drawing revision support as required.Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Be able to work as a team member and possess good inter-personal skills.Must have the ability to think logically to determine correct application of inspection methods and techniques.Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance (GD T) standards per ASME Y14.5Computer aided design experience: SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.Professional demeanor and work habitsGood written and oral communication skillsComputer skills using Windows and MS Office SuiteExcellent attention to detailAbility to apply inspection related mathematical concepts such as basic trigonometry, and quality statisticsEducation/Experience Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredConcurrent enrollment in university courses in Engineering discipline preferred. .The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
