Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an AVE Principal System Test Engineer Architect for Rocket System Ground Testing. This permanent position will be located in Roy, Utah. 100% Travel to El Segundo until the 4th quarter of 2021, and then permanent work location is Roy, Utah thereafter. The selected candidate will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get To Do:
Responsibilities include establishing EGT system requirements and test achitecture, defining Electrical and Mechanical Ground Support equipment use cases and hardware and software test tools. EGT Architect is a high visibility position that requires good technical and communication skills. Also entails collaborating with multiple IPTs across the program and coordination with external test facilities such as centrifuge, high speed rocket sled, thermal and vibration.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
• BS/MS degree with 5 years hands on mechanical or electrical test experience
• Experienced test equipment development background
• Holds a current DOD Secret Clearance and able to obtain SAP clearance. Reinvestigation within the past 5 years
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with aircraft or space guidance, navigation and control systems
• Familiarity with unit or system environmental testing
• Experience writing and executing test plans and procedures
