HNTB CADD Production Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah

What We're Looking For

The time is now to join HNTB! With a recent win of the West Davis Corridor project out of our Salt Lake City, UT office, we're excited to bring on some of the best and brightest in the industry! Currently seeking an experienced CADD Production Manager.

Primary Focus will include:

  • Able to manage large projects, from conceptual to final design, take responsibility for file structures, folders, naming conventions, configuration and problem solving as issues arise.

  • Able to lead the project team Cad in production and agency standard compliance, find/develop work-flows that aid in file plotting and edit efficiencies.

  • Manage the plan production of large plan sets

  • Research and maintain compliance with client cad standards

  • Assist Engineers across disciplines to create/check accuracy, compatibility and that standards have been meet.

  • Make design and drafting recommendations when necessary to produce to a quality product.

  • Perform standard checks of CAD files and deliverables.

  • Develop work flow/best practices for completing development tasks.

  • Create custom civil 3d label, profile, sections and alignment styles when needed.

  • Problem solve and make recommend ideas to aid in production.

  • Lead best practices with teams and offices and involved in cad/project wise changes and integrations.

  • Responsible for setup and project data management of project deliverables, Cad standards, manage external and internal teams, find best practices.

  • Train new and experienced staff in CADD programs

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 12 years minimum of related experience

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilized as technical resource in project meetings and project design for area of specialty.

  • Researches best practices and maintains outside contact with other specialists.Acts as an internal and external point-of-contact for specialty area(s). May train others in related subject matter.

  • Prepares technical presentations, reports and analysis in area of specialty.

  • Fluent in the HNTB project management philosophy and may be responsible for project budgets, schedules and progress reporting at a task level.

  • Interacts regularly with clients at the staff level.

  • May perform technical reviews for other projects in area of specialty.

  • May be responsible for managing a project team in area of specialty and coordinating work with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science or Technical School

  • 10 years related experience

  • In lieu of education, 12 years related experience
