Description Our Salt Lake City office has an immediate opportunity for a senior civil engineer with experience in water and wastewater conveyance, water and wastewater site planning and civil design pump stations, storage tanks, and infrastructure rehabilitation. Detailed Description: In this role you will work closely with experienced civil engineers on local conveyance, pumping, treatment, and infrastructure rehabilitation projects. You may also be called upon to support challenging national projects in your area of expertise through a networked group of civil/infrastructure engineers. The Salt Lake City Brown and Caldwell office represents a dynamic work environment where you will have the opportunity to be mentored by engineers with over thirty years' experience and serve as a mentor to other staff. This opportunity represents a chance for you to grow your practice and be part of building the local civil engineering/infrastructure team as a core team member and potentially a team leader. In this role you will primarily support local cities and regional water/sewer districts in planning, design, and construction management of their pipeline, pumping, infrastructure, and water/wastewater treatment projects. The work in our Salt Lake City office provides a diverse range of challenging opportunities focused on the water/wastewater and environmental field. This position may include roles as project manager, design manager, technical lead, and engineer-of-record on civil engineering designs. Typical work might include: * Sizing of water resource facilities such as water storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities as part of water master plans. * Sizing of sewer collection piping lift stations, and treatment facilities as part of sewer/wastewater master plans. * Detailed design of treatment systems, pipelines, and pump stations; this includes calculations, equipment selection, and development of construction drawings and specifications. * Coordinating with other engineers from other disciplines such as structural, electrical, and instrumentation. * Review condition assessment data that is collected using drones or remote cameras. * Perform detailed data analysis including statistical analysis. * Review work done by others such as geotechnical reports to determine applicability to designs. * Prepare written reports and technical memoranda to document analyses and recommendations. * Participate in client and internal meetings to support and advance project work. * Participate in professional work groups and organizations to understand client needs and continue professional growth. * Participate in developing proposals, scopes of work, and engineering budgets. * Periodic construction observation.
