Job Title: Interstate Streams Engineer*Position may be under-filled as a Engineer II range: $25.86 - $34.48 or Engineer I range $21.97 - $28.41.Job Description:This job will be in the Interstate Streams Section working on Colorado River and Bear River programs,operations,negotiations,and current issues. There are many exciting,and interesting things currently happening with these rivers with much more to come in the future. The job will be located in Salt Lake City,Monday-Friday,8:00 am-5:00 pm. Travel is required.Principal Duties:Work with Division staff and Interstate Streams Commissioners and staff on current issues.Work with technical staff from other states and agencies on modeling water supply and operational scenarios,consumptive use,salinity control,etc.Work with technical and legal advisors to develop solutions to current problems and issuesKeep abreast of news and developments on these rivers.Ideal Candidate:A working knowledge of the Colorado and Bear rivers and have experience with interstate compacts.Experience in hydrologic modeling,current software,and consumptive use.
