WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Bridge Engineer for our Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Growth and development of the Structures engineering team, including interfacing with the Local Bridge Lead and the Area Manager, meeting with clients to develop and expand work, and strategically teaming with other consultants
Manage bridge/structural tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production
Successfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (traffic, civil, planning, geotechnical, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects
Mentoring and developing technical capabilities of mid-level and junior staff
Working on large, multi-discipline, infrastructure capital projects

Bachelor of Science degree (Civil or Structural Engineering) from an ABET-accredited institution
12+ or more years of experience in bridge and structural engineering
A current Utah P.E. registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 6 months if registered in another state
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Masters Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
