Job Title: Manager, Engineering Manager

Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Job Description: The Field Engineering Management team is seeking a Manager to support current Field Service contracts. This position will be responsible for managing fielded hardware and Field Service Representatives (FSRs) at various sites worldwide to meet the requirements of the contract. Candidate must have excellent functional and interpersonal skills, be able to navigate between various functions of the organization and work effectively within fast paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Able to lead effectively and interact frequently with internal and/or external management and customers

  • Acts as the internal and/or external customer(s) primary point of contact for fielded site(s) activities and associated Field Service Representatives

  • Has supervisory responsibilities to include hiring, firing, salary decisions and performance management

  • Directs the work of the assigned FSRs to meet the fielded site(s) technical, sustainment and administrative requirements

  • Responsible for job performance of the assigned FSRs with primary goal to earn customer(s) satisfaction and continued business

  • Assists in technical program review sessions with internal and external customer(s) to discuss requirements, cost, schedule, and performance

  • Responsible for the allocated budget and schedule for the assigned programs and associated FSR support

  • If requested participates in the negotiation of contract and adjusts site staffing or schedule due to contract changes

  • Reviews statement of work and support proposal estimating and submittals

  • Provides staffing forecast to meet the needs of the projected contractual obligations Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)

  • Technical degree and/or background in an Engineering discipline Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and issues proactively and promptly with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, influence and/or implement process improvements

  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in teams and with people of all levels within the organization Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
