The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on time. A successful candidate should be able to:

  • Handle stressful situations with maturity, respect, and confidence

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Be capable of reacting to change with the ability to efficiently respond to new instructions, situations, methods, and procedures

  • Be a self-starter with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions to complex problems

  • Understand the principles and concepts required to actively manage production schedules

  • Demonstrate attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Excel in a team environment with the ability to avoid and resolve conflict

  • Interpret basic engineering instructions and drawings

  • Understand various manufacturing processes and methods

Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules

  • Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software

  • Coordinate workflow through multiple workcenters to meet schedule deadlines and changing customer demands

  • Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of hardware deliverables within the allotted time

  • Provide detailed schedule status to stakeholders, including department leads and production management

  • Communicate and interface with various departments to solve problems and drive solutions

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred

Special Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of the work, this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

  • Position may require the ability to lift 50 pounds

  • This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work

Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
