KP LLC Quality Inspector in Salt Lake City, Utah
KP LLC is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Salt Lake City Facility.
The Quality Inspector provides operational/administrative support to the Quality function and coordinates and performs quality assurance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and/or final inspection of products in accordance with acceptance criteria, internal standards and customer requirements
Record, analyze and report performance of inspection activities
Control and report nonconforming material
Coordinate inspection activities with production personnel
Research and resolve identified quality issues with management and Client Services team
Maintain quality records and attend production, program or project meetings, as assigned
Promote product quality, process improvement and customer satisfaction
Follow the Safety, Security and Housekeeping protocols
Other duties, as assigned by Quality Manager
The ideal candidate will have:
Associates Degree from two-year College or university; plus one to two years related Quality Inspection experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or work-related experience.
General knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs, such as MS Office (Word, Excel.)
Strong verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand, follow and clearly communicate SOPs, supervisor's instructions and work orders.
Ability to identify production or quality issues.
Pay attention to details; maintains complete and accurate records.
Use self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
Good interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Gain cooperation among team members and leaders.
Work well under general supervision
Certificates and Licenses: Certified Quality Auditor certification is a plus.
This position requires the ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.The working environment will include a manufacturing environment where employee may encounter physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like, as well as an operations environment, where the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles and the noise level is moderate.
