What we do matters. And what each of our employees do every day matters too. Your internship will start with a detailed orientation to Graymont and the lime industry. From there you'll be assigned to the Manager of Graymont's Environmental Control and Monitoring for specialized training to support the intern position. Responsibilities * Develop an individual Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) competency, including monitoring system technical and regulatory expertise * Support Graymont's CEMS Program by assisting the Environmental Control and Monitoring System Manager with the management of Graymont CEMS Program quality assurance infrastructure * Review Graymont plant CEMS Excess Emission Reports prior to agency submittal and assist with CEMS data validation activities * Weekly monitoring of Graymont's Compliance Monitoring Program stack testing schedule * Assist the Environmental Control and Monitoring System Manager with air pollution control equipment and CEMS technical feasibility determination. Qualifications: As the ideal candidate for our internship you will: * Be pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a major in chemical engineering or chemistry * Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher * Be entering your junior or senior year, but will consider other class levels * Have a strong interest in chemical processes, combustion, and emissions control * Have a strong desire to measure and reduce air emissions from Graymont lime plants * Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills, and keen attention to detail * Possess strong skills in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel * Show the capacity to establish connections with others quickly * Work well in a team environment * Have strong organizational skills
